Common Questions
Vaniqa is a topical prescription cream applied to the skin.
It works by:
– Slowing down the rate of hair growth
– Reducing the need for frequent hair removal
– Helping skin feel smoother over time
It is specifically designed for facial hair in women, particularly areas such as:
Chin
Upper lip
Jawline
Most patients start to notice a reduction in hair growth after 6–8 weeks of regular use.
Maximum benefit is usually seen after 3–6 months.
If there is no improvement after 4 months, treatment will usually be reviewed.
You should apply Vaniqa:
Twice daily (morning and evening)
At least 8 hours apart
To clean, dry skin
After applying:
Wait at least 5 minutes before applying makeup or sunscreen
Wash your hands after use
Yes. This treatment slows hair growth but does not remove existing hair.
You can continue:
Shaving
Threading
Waxing (if suitable)
Over time, many patients find they need to remove hair less frequently.
This service is suitable for adult women experiencing unwanted facial hair.
It may not be suitable if you:
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
