Betamethasone 0.1% w/w ointment is a topical corticosteroid used to treat a range of inflammatory skin conditionssuch as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis. It works by reducing inflammation, redness, itching, and discomfort.
The ointment formulation is thicker and more occlusive than creams or lotions, making it particularly suitable for very dry, thickened, or scaly skin where increased moisturising effect is helpful.
