Description

Otigo ear drops are used to treat otitis externa, an infection and inflammation of the outer ear canal. Otitis externa is commonly caused by trapped moisture, irritation, or bacterial infection and may lead to ear pain, itching, swelling, discharge, and tenderness around the ear.

Under the Pharmacy First service, Otigo ear drops may be supplied following a clinical assessment by a pharmacist for eligible patients with symptoms consistent with uncomplicated otitis externa.

  • Treatment should be completed even if symptoms improve early

Important information

  • Not suitable if there is a suspected perforated eardrum, unless advised
