Varivax is a vaccine used to protect against chickenpox (varicella), a common viral infection that causes an itchy rash and fever. While often mild in children, chickenpox can be more severe in adults and may lead to complications.
The vaccine is recommended for children and adults who have not previously had chickenpox or been vaccinated, including those needing protection for work, travel, or household contact with vulnerable individuals.
